Richard Boire's experience in predictive analytics and data science dates back to 1983, when he received an MBA from Concordia University in Finance and Statistics. This extended to the introduction of models, which targeted the acquisition of new customers based on return on investment. Dr. Sriram Vishwanath is with the Cockrell School of Engineering at The University of Texas, Austin as a Professor. Dr. Vishwanath and his team have developed highly accurate models for understanding healthcare outcomes and costs, and have applied them to a variety of applications. Ted Harrington drives thought leadership initiatives for Independent Security Evaluators, the elite organization of security researchers and consultants widely known for being the first company to hack the iPhone. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University. Todd Mostak is the founder and CEO of MapD, a pioneer in building GPU-tuned analytics and visualization applications for the enterprise. Todd conceived of the idea of using GPUs to accelerate the extraction of insights from large datasets while conducting his Harvard Graduate research on the role of Twitter in the Arab Spring. Frustrated by the capabilities of conventional technologies to allow for the interactive exploration of these multi-million row datasets, Todd built one of the first GPU-based databases. Upon completion of his studies at Harvard, Todd joined MIT as a research fellow at the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, focusing on GPU databases and visualization before founding the company in late 2013. Dr. Genetha Anne Gray is an analytics research scientist at Intel Corporation where she works on the design and development of machine learning algorithms and analytics capabilities for autonomous vehicles. Previously, she was part of the Talent Intelligence & Analytics organization where she analyzed talent supply chains, studied career progression, and modeled the changing representation of women in the workforce. While at Intel, Genetha has also explored how to apply her data science skills to combat the issue of human trafficking and assist the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. Before joining Intel in 2014, Genetha spent 12 years as a member of the technical staff at Sandia National Labs in Livermore, CA. There, she has worked on problems related to the electrical and mechanical engineering of systems, the storage of nuclear waste, groundwater remediation, cyber security, and energy including renewables integration and grid operations. Anatole Krattiger is Director of the Global Challenges Division at WIPO, dealing with the intersection of intellectual property and climate change, global health, and food security. He started his career as a farmer in Switzerland, has a Bachelors degree from the Swiss Technical Institute, a Masters in plant breeding and a PhD in molecular genetics, both from Cambridge University. Diane Chang is a Principal Data Scientist at Intuit. Diane has worked with our Mint product to investigate how data science can be used to reduce risk. More recently she has been involved with the QuickBooks Financing team to use data to improve the likelihood of a QuickBooks small business obtaining financing. Arpit is a serial entrepreneur and the process started when Arpit worked his way in grade 6 to teach himself programming and write business applications for SMBs in accounting, tax and inventory management. Slowly the business ramped up into training, networking solutions and coaching as he graduated from high school. In mid 2000s, Arpit scaled his outsourcing product consulting to Japan, building embedded and network software for automotive and telecom companies. This business grew up into marketing research, HR manpower consulting and corporate training across India and Japan. Both these initiatives had a successful exit (acquired by iTT) and created sustained triple digit growth. Most recently Arpit help found a SAAS Company AA that was bootstrapped in the US (SF, TX).
